Saint Teddy Church
The church of Saint Teddy of Qartaba was built at the beginning of the 17th century by the sons of the priest Taddy who was the first to settle in 1607 in the village which was assigned to him by Sheikh Serhal Hamadeh. This old church was replaced by the current one in 1868. The latter takes a quadrangular shape built with masonry limestone blocs of ocher color. Its openings are framed by white limestone blocks which contrast with the rest of the volume. The volume is topped, on the south side, by a square bell tower covered by an ovoid dome. The interior of the church consists of a single nave with two bays covered by two edged vaults. This nave ends, on the eastern side, with an apse with three narrowings and a flat bottom. The pointed arches which cover these narrowings arise from a projecting molded frieze. Its center is occupied by a canvas painted by Daoud Corm in 1880, representing Saint Theodore.
